Mayfield Bowls Club
Mayfield Bowls Club is located in the picturesque village of Mayfield, East Sussex
We are a friendly village club with a green and clubhouse in a beautiful position on the edge of our picturesque village. Our 50 members, both men and women, play mildly competitive bowls in the Wealden bowls league from April to September. Matches take place on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays and we try to make sure everyone takes part in at least some of the games. In addition we have club competitions and friendly roll-ups on other days with Monday afternoon and evening designated as club night. Bowls is a game that can be played by both men and women of all ages and levels of fitness. Our oldest member is 85, but we also have some youngsters as well. It is ideal exercise in the fresh air for those who want to meet other village members for pleasant recreational activity. New members are always welcome and coaching and equipment is available for new starters. We also organise various social events for members and their families to enjoy and offer social membership at a much reduced rate, so you can join and take part in the social calendar if you prefer not to bowl.

Our green and clubhouse is located at the bottom of Vale Road just after the junction with South Street. The easiest route is to go down Fletching Street from Mayfield High Street. After about 100 meters you will see the Carpenters Arms pub on the left. Make a right turn opposite the pub and follow this narrow road down the hill keeping left at a fork in the road. At a T junction turn left and parking for the green can be found almost immediately on the left just in front of the clubhouse.
